Bas Duo—Elyse Knobloch, flute and Peter Press, guitar—are known for live concerts that embrace exciting world music. Recent and living composers’ works are played with contemporary flare of sassy tangos to wild Bulgarian dances. The duo has been broadcast by radio and reviewed in international magazines Flute Focus (NZ), American Record Guide (USA), Flutist Quarterly (USA) with performances at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, ArtsWestchester supported concerts, and music series along the East Coast of the U.S. The release of their cd, Colors in 2010 was reviewed with high acclaim.
